URBAN DECAY VICE LIPSTICK in "Hitch Hike": Revew and Swatches

Hi everyone! Long time no see :-)

Finally some of the Urban Decay 100 Vice Lipsticks just arrived in Italy! I'm so happy that i can buy them at Sephora. I had some of the colors in my wishlist  but unfortunately most of them are already sold out! So i decided to pick one of my favourites that was still available on Sephora Italy website: Hitch Hike.

It is a Comfort Matte and the color is described as a "brick rose". I see a lot of brown and red in it instead of rose, maybe because i have a yellow undertone. From the swatches online i thought it was lighter but it turned to be warmer and darker. Nevertheless i love it! I think it's such a unique shade.

The pigment load in this Vice Lipstick is insane! Just one swipe provides an unbelievable laydown of color. And this one applies smoothly, hugs lips, and feels amazing! The staying power is also incredible, it lasts about 6 hours on me. If i eat or drink it fades just a little bit in the center of the lips but nothing too noticeable.

DIOR ADDICT LIP GLOW Review and Swatches

I know, i know, i shouldn't have bought this super expensive "lip balm"!! But i heard so many good things about the Dior Addict Lip Glow that i finally got it (obviously using my Sephora 20% discount) and i'm very happy i did.

Now that is spring i am so into glosses but sometimes i feel that they are a bit tacky and i can't stand to feel something sticky on my lips. I got a bad flu last week and after i recovered, my lips were so pale and dry that i really needed something hydrating and fresh that gives to my lips a natural healthy color and glow without being too heavy. So i discovered this little pink baby and i fell in love!!

I had a sample of the Sephora color reveal lip balm that has the same principle of the Lip Glow and i was used to put it on when i was going to the gym because i wanted just a hint of colour without being afraid of the transfer. But i noticed that the color was too pink (bright pink) and looked a bit unnatural. So i was tempted by the Dior Addict Lip Glow after reading lots of good reviews.

And look at the packaging!!It's so cute and fancy!

It's a sheer balm that enhances the natural lip color while moisturizing and protecting lips. I have the color sheer natural pink ...Yes, it's pink but on every different lips it will reveal a different shade of pink (according to the warmth of the lips i think).

This lip balm is pure magic!! 

On my arm you can see how the color become more and more pink with time. And of course on my lips too!

My lips were soooo dry!!

From the pictures you can see how the color enhances with time and my lips look so natural, plumped and healthy compared to my pale bare lips. 

It last a pretty decent amount of time as well. The shine disappears after 2 hours but my lips remain stained for 3 hours more. Amazing!

Does it worth 33 dollars? I don't think so, but it's Dior, and it's not the usual lipstick. So if you are not into bright lipsticks for spring and you want something lightweight that treats and revive your lip color you can definitely give it a try!

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara Review

Hello everyone!

I have a new mascara that i love. I got a sample of the well known Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara. I never thought it would be so amazing.

It has an intense black colour. The brush is not rubber, which i didn't think to love as much as i do. It has a hourglass shape, the bristles are longer at the ends than they are in the middle. The dense bristles also carry a lot of product, which makes this great for quickly building volume and length.

 I don't know how but it doubles my lashes that look longer and  thicker. It looks like i'm wearing falsies. You can see the effect in the picture below.

I'm really impressed because with one coat yoy obtain lots of volume ang lenght.

Application: When i freshly opened i wasn't sure how to apply it because i was used to rubber brushes. So i was afraid to do a clumpy mess. But i didn't!! This mascara really brushes my lashes making them the blackest black, long and super voliminous. I always apply two light coats to avoid any clump. 

Staying power: It's not waterproof formula but i assure you it resists the whole day. It doesn't smudge once it's set and it doesn't flake. You take it off easly with an oily makeup remover or micellar water.

Will I repurchase? It's pretty expensive but i think really need to buy the full size! Every time i look at my lashes it's like i'm wearing falsies. I know i said the same of the Maybelline Lash Sensational but the Too Faced mascara is waaaaay better...sometimes better than sex ;-)

OFRA Longlasting Liquid Lipstick: Review and swatches

I have heard so many good things about OFRA Longlasting Liquid Lipsticks so i decided to order it on ebay because here in Italy Ofra brand is not available in the stores. 
I decided to have at least one after i watched Kathleen Lights and Jamie Page's review and swatches...very useful.

Packaging: the tube is plastic, not very fancy but who cares! I'm in love with the performance so in this case i'm not so interested in the packaging.

Shade: I choose the color "Mocha" because i'm so in love with brown lipsticks. It's a brown with a pink undertone, let's say a warm nude perfect for everyday.

Application: the doe foot  applicator helps to be very precise. The lipstick has a moussey consistency that doesn't dry immediately so it gives you time to be precise in the application and to build up the color. It dries completely matte after 20 minutes and after that time it doesn't transfer at all.

Staying power: when it dries it lasts the whole day (without eating something very greasy). It's the most confortable liquid lipstick i own and sometimes i forgot i have it on. After 5 hours it starts to become a bit dry but it doesn't bother me at all.

Final thoughts: I'm so happy i bought one of these liquid lipstick. I'm pretty impressed by the performance. The range of color is huge so it's impossible not to fall in love with at least one. I'm so sad that Ofra is not available in Italy. I hope you are luckiest than me ;-)

My Foundation Stash: Shades Comparison

When i look for a review on a foundation online i'm always happy to find some pictures that show shades comparison because i think it's very useful to find your right match, especially when you have to buy it online and you can't test the foundation on your skin.

So i decided to make this post hoping that it will be useful for someone.

I put the Re(MArc)Able foundation in the center because it's a mid shade and i think it will be the perfect colour for my tanned skin (The Diorskin is just the swatch of a sample, waaaay too dark)

NARS Sheer Glow (Deauville Light 4): is the lightest foundation i own but since i bought in online i didn't have the chance to previously test it. I can make it work with some contouring, bronzer and blush. I love the dewy finish it gives. I think that the perfect shade for me is Fiji.

Bourjois Healthy Mix (52): I really adore the finish of this foudation, very glowy and natural. It's very similar to the effect of the Nars Sheer Glow but on me last four hours more. It's on the yellow side so it's perfect for my undertone, maybe it's just a bit too light.

MUFE Ultra Hd (y245): is the perfect match for my skin, especially in winter. You can read a complete review here.

Max Factor Facefinity (Sand): i'm in love! Since it's a primer, concealer and foundation in one it covers everything looking natural at the same time. I always struggle with the visibility of my pores but this one does a pretty good job, and lasts 10 hours!

L'oreal Infallible (22 Radiant Beige): It's my holy grail foundation! It's just perfection. It's the only foundation that makes my pores disappear completely. The shade is not too light and not too dark and has a yellow undertone. When i wear it it's like a have no imperfections and when i touch my face it feels so smooth and doesn't transfer at all; it resists to humidity and sweat. I prefer to use it in summer (even if it is a bit too light for a bronzed skin) but i wear it also in winter the days in which i know i will be out for the whole day and night. The staying power of this foundation is over 10 hours.

Urban Decay Naked Skin (4.00): i heard so many good things on this foundation, for this reason i decided to give it a shot. I'm not sure about it, sometimes i like it but i'm not sure. The shade is my summer shade. It is almost invisible on the skin but the staying power is not so good. It gives its best when i use a primer underneath.

 Marc Jacobs Re(MArc)Able foundation (32 Beige Light): I think i will use it more when i will be tanned because the shade a bit too dark now. You can read a complete review here.

Diorskin Forever (30): I have just a sample of this foundation. I can't even wear it because it's super dark on me but i swatched it just to give you an idea of the shade.

Marc Jacobs Re(Marc)Able Foundation: Swatches and Review

I have been using Marc Jacobs Re(Marc)Able foundation from one month now and i'm ready to give you my thoughts about it.

It's a pretty expensive foundation, i know, but I bought it when there was the 20% discount at Sephora. I was so curious to try it because it seemed to be the holy grail foundation of a lot of beauty bloggers and youtubers so i decided to test it myself.

On Marc Jacobs website you read "Instant Results. All-Day Weightless Finish. Beyond Full Coverage.The weight is over: 24-hour full, flawless coverage is yours in an instant with this ultra-lightweight foundation concentrate. This revolutionary oil-free formula contains twice as much pigment as a leading full-coverage foundation, but it is emulsified with groundbreaking ingredients so the smallest amount completely covers with dot-on perfection."

I partially agree: it's a medium to a full coverage foundation, with just une little dot you reach an amazing coverage. That's the most pigmented foundation i have ever tried (and i have tried a lot). It really covers every single redness or discoloration with a tiny little amount of product. But it has some downsides and for sure it doesn't last 24h!!

I really love the packaging! It comes in a heavy frosted glass bottle so sophisticated and classy like every Marc Jacobs product. 

Shade: I got the shade "32 Beige Light" under the suggestion of the Sephora shop assistant although i thought it was too dark for me, but here in Italy there are only few shades available and the shade lighter than 32 was "26 Bisque Medium" that was way too light for me. Luckily shade 32 is not too dark and i can make it work blending it well and highlighting the right zones.

Consistency: It is supposed to be smooth and weightless feeling on the skin but not for me!! I feel it so much on my skin (even if i put just a little) that sometimes i can't wait to take it off! It's like it never dries and sets even if i use some powder on top: every time i touch my face i feel it greasy (and i have normal to dry skin)... unfortunately it's not transfer proof.

Application: The applicator is a glass dropper, i find it unhygenic but it helps the application. On the instructions it is recommended to put four dots (forehead, cheeks and chin) and then buff it with a brush (obviously Marc Jacobs recommend his "The Face III" buffing foundation brush, that i don't have) . I tried with the beauty blender but the final effect was too greasy and shiny. I prefer to buff it with Zoeva 124- Grand Stippling Face Brush to reach a flawless and more natural finish. You don't never, ever try to exagerate with the amount of foundation or your face will turn into an olily shiny ball!

Finish: It is supposed to have a matte finish but i think it gives me some glow. It is suggested for people with oily skin but i have normal to dry skin and after a while makes me look shiny so i don't know if it's ideal for those with very oily skin. It also depends on how much product you use, you don't have to exceed. If you put the right amount (four tiny dots) it will work good.

Staying Power: i am so disappointed from the longevity of this foundation. It looks amazing for the first two or three hours and then it starts to fade on the nose and cheeks looking soooo patchy. It's like it melts and starts to look greasy. It also clings to my pores emphasizing them a lot! You can see it from the pictures below....It's awful! Even if i try to fix it with a powder the situation doesn't get any better. It's definetly not so longlasting, even with a primer underneath.

After 5 hours. From far away is not so bad but you can notice
that the part in direct light is greasy and the pores are visible.

Will i repurchase? I don't think so, it's too expensive for my budget and it doesn't give me the effect i expected. I have i hate love relationship with this foundation, when first applied i love the flawless effect it gives to my skin but after few hours my pores are so visible that i can't wait to remove it.

NARS Audacious Lipstick in ANNA: Swatches and Review

There is a lipstick that i literally wear almost every single day.

Hello Mr Bunny!..Long time no see!

I'm talking about the NARS Audacious Lipstick in Anna. I received it as Christmast gift from my boyfriend and he ordered it from Nars official website because this shade isn't available at Sephora Italy.

Shade: Anna is a very unique colour. It is described as a "smokey rose". It's a cool-tooned muted, medium dark pink with a semi matte finish. It flatters any skintone and on me is an everyday color that i like to match with different lip liners. I wanted this shade so bad after watching JamiePageBeauty swatch video on youtube (i just love that woman!!)

Formula: The consistency is so creamy and in one swipe you have a great colour payoff. It's extremely confortable like i'm not wearing anything on my lips. It doesn't even emphasize dry patches and for me this is very important because in winter my lips are always dry no matter how many times i scrub them.

NARS "Anna" direct light

Staying power: I had great expectations about the staying power because, from the various reviews i saw on youtube, the Audacious lipsticks seemed to have the best performance ever, but i was a bit disappointed...on me it lasts only three or four hours (without eating or drinking) before starting to fade. Maybe the darkest colors perform better but for now i can't make a comparison. To make it last a bit longer i layer a mauve lip liner underneath: Essence lipliner in "satin mauve" is the perfect match that darken it a bit!

Will i repurchase? I don't think so. From a 30 euros lipstick i was expecting waaaay more. I think the performance of Maybelline Creamy Matte lipsticks is so much better than the Nars Audacious lipsticks. Just to give them another shot maybe i will try a darker shade (like Charlotte or Liv).
