Wet n Wild Megalast Lipsticks - swatches and review (part one)

In this period i have an obsession for lipsticks. To fullfill my desire, without spending all my money, i decided to start wearing affordable ones. The Wet n Wild Megalast lipsticks are super cheap (only three dollars at the drugstore) and the quality is excellent. Some colours perform better than others but they are all amazing. They can be compared to high end lipsticks and some of them are really good dupes.

Now i have almost all the range but i skipped those that i can't wear like the orangy based colours (like Purty Persimmon) or the shades that i know aren't flattering on me (like Just Peachy or Sandstorm)

Those eight are my recent buy. Wet n Wild introduced some new colours and i bought "On the Ave" and "Nightcap". I noticed that the formula of the new colours is more creamy.

On the Ave: it's very similar to "Cherry Picking" but for me is much more wearable. It's a berry with pink undertones. This particular colour is super longlasting, it resists to food and drink and even after i remove my makeup it leaves a stain on my lips! I wake up with still the lipstick on!

Cherry Picking: is a dark pink with red undertones. From the swatch it looks exactly like "On the Ave" but it is brighter. I wouldn't wear it every day because it's too flashing but i think it could be pefect for summer time.

Smokin' Hot Pink: pink lipsticks have never been flattering on me but this one makes an exception. I'ts a pretty rosey mauve pink. I really love it!

Bare it all: that's the famous dupe of Mac Velvet Teddy. It's a deep medium nude but i don't think it's the right nude for me. I think it's too light and it wash me out. Maybe i have to find the right lip pencil to let it work better on me. Any suggestion?
I couldn't even be able to make a picture of the full face :-(

Mochalicious: is a medium deep brown with a slight hint of red but it looks straight up brown on me and the red it's barely visible; This colour is often compared to Kat Von D Lolita but Mochalicious has more brown in it. I have a love/hate relationship with this colour, i still don't know if it looks good or not.

Ravin' Rasin: it's a deep plum colour, i think it's the good mix of violet, mauve and taupe. It's the perfect colour for those who love purples but are afraid to wear bright lipsticks. It's the ideal shade to wear in autumn and winter. I suggest you to try it first because it looks different according to the skintone.

Nightcap: i love the formula of this one because it's more creamy than the others. Unfortunately it's my least favourite colour of them all. I love browns but this is too much! It makes me look like i just finished to eat a chocolate icecream. I really wanted to love it but i don't! I have to mix it with plum lip liners to make it wearable.

Vamp it up: this is the darkest lipstick i own and i'm crazy about this shade. It's a dupe of Mac Cyber, it's a dark, almost black purple. I never thought a colour like this could be flattering on me but i got many compliments when i wear it. Being a dark colour the application it's not so easy so i suggest a good scrub to avoid patchiness and a lip liner to outline the lips (i use Kiko precision lip pencil 312 Plum). With just some mascara and this lipstick on it looks like you put so much effort in your make up when you actually didn't. :-)

Final thoughts: i really like those lipsticks. The texture is confortable, they dry out to a semi matte finish and lasts for 6 hours on me. If i eat or drink they fade out just in the center of the lips. The range colour is amazing and you can easly find a shade that suits your skintone.

Next time i will show you my other Wet n Wild Megalast lipsticks shades comparing them with other similar high end or drugstore lipsticks.

I wish you happy holidays dears!!
